The tour will pass through Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, visiting brilliant natural and cultural attractions including Halifax, the UNESCO town of Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove, the Acadian National Historic Site at Grand Pre, stunning Cape Breton island, the winding Cabot Trail and Louisbourg National Historic Site. We will also visit Hopewell Rocks and Moncton, famous for the tidal bore and the Bay of Fundy, and enjoy fresh lobster and a lobster and whale watching cruise. A visit to Prince Edward Island wouldn’t be the same without seeing the red sand beaches, the Green Gables Heritage Place and the Confederation Bridge.

DAY 1 | Sept. 2, 2018 | Toronto - Halifax (D)
Depart Toronto for Halifax. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in. Remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 2 | Sept. 3, 2018 | Halifax (B)
We meet our Tour Leader at a welcome breakfast and then take a Halifax city tour to see the Victorian Public Gardens, Titanic Grave Sites, Historic Properties, Province House and Old Town Clock. Afterwards, we join a nature and whale watching tour and visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic which focuses on maritime history and the stories, events and people that define Nova Scotia. There is also time allocated to take a leisurely stroll on Halifax’s harbourfront promenade.

DAY 3 | Sept. 4, 2018 | Halifax - South Shore (B, L, D)
Today we travel the rugged south shore of Nova Scotia, to the quaint seaside village of Peggy’s Cove. The graceful lighthouse here sits high upon the smooth wave-worn granite of the coast. We'll visit Acadian Maple Products, a family owned and operated business, and the largest producer and exporter of maple syrup in Nova Scotia. Afterwards, we will pass through picturesque Mahone Bay, where three elegant churches are aligned along the sheltered harbour. We move on to the UNESCO World Heritage Site and town of Lunenburg, one of Nova Scotia’s most historic and beautiful towns and home of the Bluenose II sailing ship. Here we can visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, to learn about the history of commercial fishing in Atlantic Canada. Our overnight stay offers a spectacular seaside setting and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

DAY 4 | Sept. 5, 2018 | South Shore - Saint John (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Annapolis Royal, on the Evangeline Trail, with over 150 heritage buildings including the oldest wooden house in Canada. We'll visit the Grand Pré National Historic Site, also a World UNESCO Heritage Site and learn about the great upheaval of the Acadians. We then board the Digby ferry for a scenic crossing on the Bay of Fundy from Nova Scotia to Saint John, in New Brunswick.

DAY 5 | Sept. 6, 2018 | Saint John - St Andrews By-The-Sea (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, a city tour of Saint John and a visit to the Reversing Falls, we travel on to Saint Andrews; home to beautiful architecture, stunning scenery and plentiful marine life. We'll visit the 27 acre Kingsbrae Gardens with over 50,000 perennials displayed in themes across the gardens. This evening we stay at the Algonquin Resort, one of Canada’s premium historic seaside resorts, overlooking the tidal Passamaquoddy Bay. Upon arriving, the remainder of the day is at your leisure.

DAY 6 | Sept. 7, 2018 | St Andrews By-The-Sea - Fredericton (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we tour the Fundy Discovery Aquariumshowcasing all creatures found in the Bay of Fundy. See harbour sealsand other sea life through the windows of the underwater viewing areaand the touch pool. We then continue to Fredericton and arrive at KingsLanding Historical Settlement, a lively, authentic village, depicting the100 year transformation of a young colony into a vibrant nation.

DAY 7 | Sept. 8, 2018 | Fredericton - Moncton (B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Today enjoy an entertaining and informative city tour of Fredericton with a local guide before travelling to the Fundy National Park to see Hopewell Rocksand the peculiar eroded rock formations that resemble forested islands at high tide and flowerpots at low. Our hotel thi sevening, overlooks the famous Tidal Bore in Moncton, a natural phenomenon that is the result of the record high tides of the Bay of Fundy.

DAY 8 | Sept. 9, 2018 | Moncton - Summerside (B, L)
Breakfast is at our hotel and then we will pass by Magnetic Hilland experience coasting uphill in the coach, with no power! We then move on to the fishing village of Shediac to see the World’s Largest Lobster and board the Ambassador Cruise Ship to learn about the lobster industry and enjoy a freshly cooked lobster lunch on board. We then leave New Brunswick to cross over the 12.9km Confederation Bridge to the province of Prince Edward Island.

DAY 9 | Sept. 10, 2018 | Summerside - Charlottetown (B)
Breakfast is at our hotel, before we set off on a tour of Charlottetown, to see the Province House National Historic Site, the house that inspired Anne of Green Gables, Cavendish National Park, and the fishing village of North Rustico. We'll also call in to sample some of the best preserves in the world at the Prince Edward Island Preserves Company.

DAY 10 | Sept. 11, 2018 | Summerside - Sydney (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we take the Confederation Bridge back via New Brunswick to Nova Scotia and onwards to Sydney, Cape Breton Island, for a three night stay. Our hotel is located downtown, on the waterfront close to shops and restaurants, where you can have your picture taken with the world’s largest fiddle!

Overnight at Cambridge Suites Sydney (3 nights)

DAY 11 | Sept. 12, 2018 | Sydney - Cabot Trail (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will experience the incredibly scenic Cabot Trail and Margaree Valley as we tour the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. We'll stop at Lone Shieling, the beautiful and relaxed, Pleasant Bay and Neil’s Harbour offering spectacular seascapes, sweeping beaches, rare plants and abundant wildlife.

DAY 12 | Sept. 13, 2018 | Sydney - Louisbourg (B, D)
After our hotel breakfast we visit the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, stepping back in time to a bygone era when the French and English fought for control of the New World and Nova Scotia was the battleground. We'll see Cape Breton’s Miners’ Museum paying tribute to the region's long and rich coal mining history and home to the famous choir of miners - The Men of the Deeps. We will also take an underground tour of the Ocean’s Deep Colliery beneath the Museum’s building.

DAY 13 | Sept. 14, 2018 | Sydney - Toronto (B)
Today the tour ends with breakfast at the hotel. You will have time to check out and enjoy Sydney at your leisure before making your way to the airport at your own convenience.
