Day 3 | Mar. 3, 2018 | BANGKOK (B, L)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Depart on your full-day tour of
Bangkok’s famous temples.
Cruising through the Thonburi canals is an unforgettable experience!
The journey down the legendary Chao Phraya River, known as the
“River of Kings”, and its tributary klongs (canals) gives a perspective
on the critical importance this waterway played in the creation of
Bangkok and the old capital of Thonburi, hence the title “Venice of
the East”. A boat trip takes us to the famous riverside landmarks,
including stops at the magnificent Royal Barges Museum.
We then proceed past other notable icons such as the Holy Rosary
Church, which was built by the Portuguese who were the first
Europeans to settle in Thailand in the 16th century; and the Oriental
Hotel, famous for hosting celebrated authors such as Joseph Conrad
and Somerset Maugham.
Enjoy a Thai lunch at Supatra River House.
Continue to visit the Grand Palace, an architectural wonder of golden
stupas, walls and pillars encrusted in shining and colourful mosaics.
Previously the residence of past Kings of Thailand, you will see
palaces once used for different occasions, the Reception Hall, the
Coronation Hall, the Throne Hall, the Royal Guest House and Wat Phra
Kaew. The palace served as the official residence of kings of Thailand
from the 18th to the mid-20th century. The most famous building within
the palace grounds is Wat Phra Kaew and this is regarded as the most
sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand.
Continue to Wat Po, with its massive reclining Buddha.

Day 4 | Mar. 4, 2018 | BANGKOK (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a half-day tour of Damnoen Saduak floating
market. There are countless floating markets throughout Thailand,
but the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is the most famous.
Situated 110 km from Bangkok in Ratchaburi province, this market is
like a trip back in time to the Siam of old. You will see colourfully clad
merchants, paddle along congested canals in sturdy canoes laden
with fresh fruit, vegetables and other foodstuff to sell to shoppers on
the canal banks.
After visiting the market, we continue on to Phra Pathom Chedi in
Nakorn Pathom, reportedly the largest pagoda in South East Asia. The
golden-tiled dome of the Chedi towers almost 116-metres into the air.

Day 5 | Mar. 5, 2018 | BANGKOK — CHIANG MAI (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai.

Day 6 | Mar. 6, 2018 | CHIANG MAI (B, L)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Then continue with a full-day excursion
that includes elephant & ox cart riding and a visit to the Longnecked
Karen tribe. Both the Mae Teang and Mae Taman elephant camps
provide enthralling demonstrations of elephants at work and play.
You also have the opportunity to ride on the back of these
magnificent beasts across the Mae Ping River and up nearby hills.
After a one-hour tour, we change the mode of transport and head
back by ox-cart to the elephant village, followed by a calm rafting trip
of approx. 45 minutes down the Mae Ping River. Gliding effortlessly
and silently along the river on a bamboo raft is a wonderful
experience and a great way to relax.
We then drive to Mae Rim district to visit the Karen “Longneck” hill
tribe village, at Baan Tong Luang. The female tribe members can be
seen tending their small shops and are keen to interact with visitors.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant. On the return journey, a stop
is made at one of the region’s many orchid farms to see a variety of
these exotic flowers.

Day 7 | Mar. 7, 2018 | CHIANG MAI — PHUKET (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Phuket. Upon
arrival in Phuket, proceed to collect your luggage and follow the
exit signs. Your local representative will meet you at the airport and

Day 11 | Mar. 11, 2018 | PHUKET (B, L)
FULL-DAY EXCURSION TO PHI PHI ISLAND TOUR BY PRIVATE SPEED BOAT:
For those who prefer a speedier trip than those offered by the larger,
slower, boat cruises, this excursion takes guests on an island-hoping trip
that takes in the larger Phi Phi Don and the smaller Phi Phi Ley islands.
Phi Phi Ley was the setting for the Hollywood film “The Beach”,
which was shot mainly at the picturesque Maya Bay. At Phi Phi Don,
discover the amazing limestone cliffs, long sandy beaches and the
clear emerald water. One advantage of this tour is that it gets to Phi
Phi before the morning crowds arrive on the local long-tail water boat
taxis from Ao Nang. Guests can stop at Monkey Bay, snorkel over the
amazing reefs that are abundant with colourful tropical fish, and then
enjoy a delicious lunch at a restaurant.

Day 15 | Mar. 15, 2018 | PHUKET (B, L)
FULL-DAY EXCURSION TO PHANG NGA BAY BY PRIVATE SPEED BOAT:
James Bond Island is located in Phang Nga Bay within the Straits of
Malacca, between the island of Phuket and the Malay Peninsula mainland
close to southern Thailand. The island’s English nickname derives from
the fact that it was the setting for Scaramanga’s lair in the film The Man
with the Golden Gun, starring Roger Moore as Ian Fleming’s legendary
British agent, 007.
From Phuket you can reach the island in about 40 minutes by speed boat.

Day 19 | Mar. 19, 2018 | PHUKET (B, L)
FULL-DAY EXCURSION TO SIMILAN ISLAND BY PRIVATE SPEED BOAT:
This tour will take you to one of the best snorkeling sites in Thailand.
The Similan Islands form an area of great natural beauty and they
were declared a Marine National Park in 1982. They are surrounded
by clear water and contain abundant marine life, from small fish to
manta rays. Consisting of nine islands fringed with rocky outcrops and
beaches with fine white sand, the islands are a divers dream. Water
clarity is excellent and each island has its own unique scenery.
In the morning, you are taken across the Andaman Sea to
Honeymoon Bay and Koh Ha for snorkeling before heading over to Na
Beach on Koh Miang where you can either snorkel in Princess Bay or
explore the island and laze on the beach.
Afterwards, a Thai buffet-style lunch is served at an idyllic beachside
restaurant. Then it is time to head to Christmas Point for swimming
and snorkeling, and onto Donald Duck Bay for either swimming or a
hike to the island’s viewpoint.
Journey back to Phuket at 3 p.m. Travel time on the boat is
approximately 90 minutes each way.

Day 23 | Mar. 23, 2018 | PHUKET (B)
AFTERNOON HALF-DAY EXCURSION TO PHUKET ISLAND: You will be
driven along scenic beach roads through Patong, Karon, Kata, and
Rawai and around Phuket Town to view the Sino-Portuguese style
buildings with a short time to wander around the local market.
Other attractions visited are: Wat Chalong, Phuket's most beautiful
and renowned monastery, Big Buddha at Chalong, a Cashew Nut
Factory where you may sample the culinary delights, and last but not
least, the famous sunset viewpoint at Promthep Cape, which is home
to one of the most beautiful vistas on the island of Phuket.
